HOP, FLIP and JUMP  

Human and Organisational Performance makes the biggest difference when it's built into the tools and systems that an organisation relies on. Let's stop explaining, start integrating.

  • How do we move beyond explaining Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) and integrate it seamlessly into the tools and techniques people use? 
  • How do we make a start when somebody brings us a concept or a tool and asks us to “do HOP on it”?
  • How do we find HOP solutions for problems given to us in traditional terms, such as “get people to concentrate”?

Simon Robinson and Diane Chadwick-Jones will talk about what's worked for them in integrating HOP, proposing the “HOP, FLIP and JUMP” framework for tackling integration challenges:

  • The HOP – identifying the principles and HOP concepts that apply to a challenge.
  • The FLIP – the magical moment when we reframe the problem in HOP terms.  
  • The JUMP – the HOP-compatible solution that allows us to make a leap forward in addressing the problem.

The conversation will be illustrated with examples from real organisations who have reframed problems and integrated HOP.
