Rewarding great achievements

Good design can make a significant difference to keeping people safe and our annual awards celebrate the changes that can protect workers from injury. The Risk-Reduction Through Design Award, organised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), recognises innovation that reduces musculoskeletal disorders.

It aims to inspire employers of all sizes to think about simple changes that reduce the risk to employees, from a reduction in lifting or pushing to cutting the need for awkward postures. If your business has a solution that’s made a real difference, then there’s still time to enter up until 31 January.

And there are plenty of other categories in the CIEHF awards where you can honour your human factors heroes. We cover everything from student projects, to the achievements of new ergonomists to lifelong service to the discipline. We reward innovation, impact and insight. We celebrate excellence in skills, knowledge and experience in the profession.

You can nominate an individual, a group or yourself - and it's free! The closing date is 16 February.

The winners will be revealed in April at a ceremony during our special 75th anniversary celebration event, Ergonomics & Human Factors 2024.
