Celebrating a year of success
As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a remarkable year for the Institute, marked by record-breaking events, strategic growth and global engagement.
Our flagship conference, Ergonomics & Human Factors 2024, set a new benchmark back in March, attracting over 370 delegates from across the world. With engaging keynote speakers, workshops, and discussions, the event was a great success and showcased the growing importance of human factors in various sectors.
We also unveiled our new strategic vision for the future. The plan aims to help decision-makers understand the transformative impact of human factors across diverse sectors and disciplines and is centred around four pillars: Members, Learning, Engagement and Professional Standards.
Our participation in the International Ergonomics Association (IEA) Conference in South Korea strengthened international ties and expanded our global reach. The event provided valuable opportunities to share insights, collaborate, and enhance the CIEHF's role on the world stage. We’ve already got the ball rolling with our preparation to host IEA2027.
The launch of the Think Human exhibition at the Museum of Making in Derby was another major highlight, it brings together people, products, places and procedures to celebrate a world that's designed to be both safe and productive, comfortable and enjoyable. The exhibition is open until the end of February.
As we look forward to 2025, we’re building on the momentum and the success of this transformative year. We continue to look for innovative ways to support the advancement of the ergonomics and human factors profession and we’re excited about what lies ahead!
