Guildford Ergonomics focuses on the ergonomics and human factors areas of health and safety at work – our services include:
- Expert assessment of ergonomics and human factors issues – DSE (desk assessments), Industrial workstation and process assessments, Manual Handling and Upper Limb / repetitive work risk assessment.
- Advising on ergonomics changes and improvements in their workplaces.
- Reviewing existing ergonomics and human factors risk management systems.
- Design and development of safe working procedures.
- Providing training in: DSE use, DSE Assessment, Musculoskeletal Risk Assessment, Human Factors.
Our objectives are:
- Improving the safety and wellbeing of clients’ employees.
- Enhancing clients’ business productivity and efficiency.
- Ensuring our clients meet their legal duties under H&S law.
Areas of work
- DSE assessments including homeworking / remote working – assessments in-person, by video call or via our online assessment package.
- Manual Handling and Upper Limb (repetitive manual work) risk assessment.
- Manual Handling training direct to operators, and Train-the-Trainer.
- Musculoskeletal risk assessment training - focused on HSE’s MAC, ART, RAPP tools as well as more in-depth assessments using L23 and HSG60 HSE Guidance.
- Human Factors – Human reliability consultation and services, safety-critical task analysis, training in HF foundations.
- Expert Witness work in all of the areas listed above - for Defendant or Claimant or as a Single Joint Expert.
