A greener tomorrow

The COP30 summit in Brazil will close tomorrow after days of debate and negotiations about how the world should respond to the global climate crisis. World leaders, officials, business leaders and activists gathered for the 30th United Nations Conference of the Parties in Belém.

This year’s summit has 30 key objectives, covering a range of topics including the energy transition, agriculture and human and social development. Changing the way we live and work can play a part in tackling the climate crisis and contributing to a more sustainable world.

To support this, our guide to Climate Ergonomics outlines how businesses can take their first steps to implementing and encouraging behaviour change that increases sustainability.

As pressures grow for firms to adopt a more climate-conscious approach, the scale of the issue can seem overwhelming and it’s not always clear where to start. Our practical guide includes advice on key activities that will help identify areas for positive change and how to develop a climate measurement model.

It says: “Dealing with climate change is not only a business imperative but also a socio-economic issue that will impact every business and every human on the planet. This publication is the beginning of our conversation about how, as human factors professionals, we can play our part personally and professionally through our science and discipline.”
