Networks of knowledge
If you’re looking to connect with other human factors professionals working in your industry, our Sector Groups are the ideal place to expand your network. The groups cover a wide range of areas and give you the chance to collaborate and share ideas with others who have similar interests. And if there’s not already one linked to your area of interest, then just let us know if you’re interested in putting one together.
Our current Sector Groups include:
- Workplace: exploring work and the rapidly changing workplace.
- Healthcare: sharing understanding about patient and health worker safety.
- Pharmaceutical: examining the lifecycle of medicines and medical devices.
- Aviation and aerospace: encouraging improved human performance.
- Nuclear: exploring all aspects of this safety-critical industry.
- Defence: understanding how to increase human capability.
- Automotive: understanding how people interact with complex technology.
- Children’s ergonomics: enabling young people to learn in a healthy environment.
As well as our Sector Groups, there are Regional Networks across the UK and around the world to help you connect with colleagues.
And if you want to get even more involved with the Institute, then how about becoming a trustee and using your expertise to make a real difference? Our trustees play a vital role in shaping both our organisation and our profession. No matter what stage of your career you’re at, everyone can bring something important to the role. To find out more about what’s involved, read the Q&As on our dedicated webpage.
