Time to celebrate success
Our annual awards shine a spotlight on the people and projects making a real difference in ergonomics and human factors. They’re your chance to recognise the skills, knowledge and impact that drive our discipline forward – whether that’s an inspiring colleague, a pioneering team, or a rising star.
With categories spanning every career stage, there’s something for everyone. From the Best Student Project and New Ergonomist of the Year, to honours for Outstanding Communications, Demonstrated Impact and Innovation, the awards showcase the breadth of achievement across research and practice.
Organisations and teams that have made a significant contribution to the profession are recognised with the prestigious President’s Award, while Lifetime Achievement Awards celebrate those whose careers have transformed the field.
We also include recognition for Risk Reduction in design, Volunteer of the Year, and outstanding research through the Best Paper Awards in Ergonomics and Applied Ergonomics.
Together, these honours highlight the diverse ways human factors professionals improve safety, performance and wellbeing across sectors.
Nominations are open until 9 February 2026, with winners announced at the awards ceremony on 28 April 2026. Whether you want to celebrate a mentor, a colleague or even yourself, now is the perfect time to put forward your human factors hero.
