Presenting our programme!

The programme for Ergonomics & Human Factors 2024 has been revealed with a packed line-up of in-depth insight, CPD opportunities and expert discussion and debate.

Presentations will cover topics ranging from human factors methods and human performance to technology and behaviour. And a wide variety of sectors will be in the spotlight, including healthcare, transport, manufacturing, defence and nuclear.

The event kicks off on 22 April with a choice three options: Masterclasses, Careers Day and a Doctorial Consortium.

The Masterclasses feature expert-led sessions with the opportunity to choose two of the six different topics on offer. Our popular Careers Day, which includes a Jobs Fair, is invaluable for anyone starting out in human factors or thinking of changing their path. And the Doctoral Consortium allows PhD students to get feedback on their work through peer-to-peer presentations.

Over the following two days, presentations, posters and discussion sessions will keep you up-to-date with the latest thinking in human factors.

Keynotes will be delivered by Amanda Widdowson, Head of Human Factors Capability, Thales UK, Natasha Merat, Professor of Human factors and Transport Systems at the University of Leeds, and Neil Spenceley, Director of Paediatric Intensive Care and Anaesthetics at Glasgow Children’s Hospital.

There’s also plenty of chances to catch up with colleagues and make new connections at our social events, including a fun, mystery evening and 75th anniversary dinner.
