Going global at IEA2024
A team from the CIEHF will be representing the Institute at the IEA’s Triennial Congress in South Koreaon 25-29 August – ahead of our own turn hosting the event in London in 2027. The four-day conference in Jeju features keynote talks, panel discussions and dozens of presentations by human factors professionals from around the world. And we’ll be there to spread the word about the next event, when we bring people together in London in three years’ time.
This year’s conference has the theme “Better Life Ergonomics for Future Humans” and is hosted by the Ergonomics Society of Korea. Topics being discussed range from children and education to space and the metaverse. Keynote speakers include IEA President Professor José Orlando Gomes and Korea’s Minister of Employment and Labour, Jung Sik Lee.
The IEA said: “The Congress offers an overview of current human factors research and practice. It gives people an opportunity to exchange up-to-date knowledge and is an opportunity for young students and researchers to interact with world-class researchers and practitioners. The congress attracts interested people from science, practice, industry, government and related NGOs from around the world.”
For people who can’t attend the event in person but still want to follow the proceedings, virtual tickets are available which give access to online sessions. The Institute is one of a number of organisations taking part in an exhibition at the event. If you’re at the conference, come along and say hello to our team and find out more about IEA2027.
