Energy Learning Pathway

Enhancing human performance throughout the energy sector

Overview

All major hazard industries rely on high levels of human performance to improve safety and reliability. Human performance is about what people do as part of a system to help manage risk and keep us safe. Understanding the human factors involved in how people interact with plant, equipment, processes and each other helps to improve reliability and maintain safe operations.

The Energy Institute and the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) have jointly developed this Pathway which focuses on human performance. It's slightly different in its structure and content to the other Pathways and gives a great grounding to the discipline in this sector.

An introductory eLearn builds awareness of core human performance challenges and is recommended as a starting point to the full Pathway in this sector. It's suitable for most people in an organisation, including frontline workers, supervisors, managers and senior leaders.

The programme is managed and run by the Energy Institute. Clicking the link below will take you to their website where you'll find further information.
