Following her election to the position of President of the CIEHF on 28 April 2020, Amanda Widdowson has taken the opportunity to launch her President's project.
The project, called 'Design for Everybody', hopes, in its first phase, to raise awareness about the improvements in design of everyday things that can be brought about by considering diversity in populations, specifically relating to body size.
The project calls for people to take ten easy body measurements and enter them into a simple online form to build up a data set that can be used to influence the design of everything from clothing to public transport.
Guidance is provided about how to take the measurements and all data is anonymised.
Find out more by downloading the Design for Everybody project guidance.
Amanda launched the project at the EHF2020 Virtual Conference on 29 April 2020, find out more by watching her video.
